Annual Designer CEU Seminar & Tabletop Reception Description:
Join us for a night of CEUs, tabletop networking & festive cheer!
Dress Code:
Festive glitz, glamour and sparkles. Show off your best holiday outfit!! We have all been wanting to dress up for so long and this is the event to go all out!! Coat check will be provided.
Door Prizes:
Please bring your business card to be entered in a draw for various prizes. You must be present when the draw happens in order to claim your prize.
Tickets:
$25 - Earlybird Designer until November 15th at noon
$40 - Designer from November 15th at noon till event date
$75 - Industry
Event Schedule:
Registration: 4:30 - 5:00pm:
The workshop will be held in the Spanish Ballroom of Hotel Georgia located on the 2nd floor. Please take the elevator or grand staircase at the back of the lobby or follow hotel signage. Valet Parking is available in the breezeway of hotel at the current hotel rate. A glass of festive bubbly wine will be provided upon check in.
Hotel Georgia follows all Province-wide Covid regulations. All attendees must have double vaccination passports along with government issued photo identification to present to the hotel representative upon entry of the event. Masks must be worn during the event as specified by the hotel representatives. Please stay home if you are not feeling well or have symptoms of Covid-19 to ensure we keep all attendees safe & healthy. Masks will be provided.

Planet Forward: A Course in Optimized & Net Positive Materials - IDCEC 0.1 HSW / AIA 1.0 LU
Description:
This course functions as an overview for architects and interior designers on how to use product disclosures to meet advanced sustainability goals. It includes a discussion of how these documents are created, how manufacturers use the information to improve products, and how the A&D community can use disclosures and products to affect immediate, meaningful change. Optimized and net positive material concepts and certifications are introduced, demonstrating the power of product choice and sustainable design to benefit social equity, human health and the health of Planet Earth. Additionally, the course addresses key terminology to aid in the process of specifying sustainable products.

The Kitchen Water Hub: Beyond the Sink & Faucet - IDCEC 0.1 HSW / AIA 1.0 LU
Description:
The increasing demands on providing healthy, safe, and quality designed environments for kitchens is on the rise. Factors to consider are material characteristics and properties, accessibility to planning centers, and appropriate installation methods. This course introduces materials, methods, and techniques when planning an important activity center in a kitchen design – the Kitchen Water Hub.
Industry Networking: 7:15-10:00pm
For your 3rd CEU please collect your CEU passport at the registration table to meet with all 12 industry table top sponsors while enjoying festive cocktails, delicious catered tapas and fellow designer camaraderie. Ensure you drop your completed passport back at the registration table for a draw for prizes.
